[News] Fashion – Big Bang & BOY London

Whilst watching one of Big Bang’s ‘Fantastic Baby’ Inkigayo performances, there was something I
noticed other than the power of Daesung’s vocals, the excitement of the choreography and the adorability of G-Dragon’s smile: their outfits. Every member of Big Bang was wearing at least one item of clothing from the ‘BOY London’ fashion label.

The ‘BOY London’ label was created by Stephane Raynor all the way back in the 70’s to accommodate to the fashion needs of punks and New Romantics in Britain, back then the clothes were worn by the likes of the Sex Pistols and Boy George, and recently the line has made a huge comeback, being seen on celebrities such as Jessie J and Rihanna.

The re-launch of ‘BOY London’ shows a new theme of large, bold logos in black and white that make simple clothes like hats, leggings and t-shirts stand out. The typical logo, as you can see on Big Bang’s clothing, is the ‘BOY’ or ‘BOY London’ brand name, often accompanied by a spread winged Eagle.

It’s all well and good that Big Bang have caught a glimpse of this label and are now promoting it largely by wearing it on stage, but the best part is the price: though the label is by no means cheap, it is affordable, meaning anybody can buy at least one ‘BOY London’ item and not leave a searing hole in their bank balance!

I have no doubt that some fans may want to invest in a hat the same as Taeyang’s or a jumper the same as T.O.P’s, whereas others may just think the brand is bold and innovative, and decide to take a look at some jewellery or a pair of leggings. If that’s the case for you, you can visit the official website at Here, where they ship worldwide, or if you’re a London dweller, take a stroll down to Selfridges where they stock an intimate collection of ‘BOY London’ clothing in store!
